What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

Costs

The other is the cost of the materials required to upgrade. The items used for upgrades are usually either Power Dices (dropped by monsters 21+) or Minerals and Erons (obtainable through completing specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor quests). Success Rate

It is similar to the "luck bonus" that certain items provide however it is more solid. This can be added to any weapons or armor and is used three times.
You can also add additional materials to the upgrade to increase the chances of success. These materials are displayed in a window located above the + button. However, there are limitations to this, and the highest amount of material that can be added is displayed directly above the + button in the UI.
Another way to increase the chance of a successful upgrade is to use an item known as the Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version of it. This item can be helpful in the event that your item or weapon is near or has reached the highest level of its tier. This item will allow you upgrade the equipment to the next tier without the risk of breaking.
If an upgrade fails, it will be reverted to its previous state. This is usually a downgrade, but can also be an upgrade. You should save an upgrade until you are nearing the maximum level of an item.
